TOA Corporation expands management team in UK and EMEA

Daisuke Imagawa, managing director of TOA Electronics Europe GmbH in the EMEA region since 2022, has welcomed the news. “The addition of Stéphane Charles and Volker Scheid,” stated Imagawa, “means that we are enhancing our leadership team with experienced industry professionals. Together, we will continue to expand our business, optimise our processes and develop product lines in a sustainable and innovative manner. The focus remains on our long-standing customer relationships and comprehensive service standards.”

The French office has been led by Stéphane Charles since the beginning of 2020. He now joins TOA Electronics Europe as a director. Charles observed: “I’m grateful for the trust and support received from my colleagues and look forward to supporting them in their efforts to grow the markets in our territories”

Armed with over 30 years’ experience of export procedures in the PA/voice alarms industry, Charles’ focus is now very much on supporting the company's development, increasing market share and sustaining the growth of the European team.

Volker Scheid is appointed as director of TOA Electronics Europe GmbH. Scheid has built up many years of experience by working at TOA and has served as a director since last year.

Scheid commented: “The evolving work environment requires constant adaption and optimisation of our processes. Our team strives to provide our customers across the EMEA region with first-class service alongside high-quality products. I look forward to supporting TOA Europe’ development thanks to the solid foundations laid by my predecessors.”

TOA Corporation South Africa

In terms of TOA South Africa, Lauren Sher (general manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, who’s based in the Johannesburg office) is appointed business director for the African markets.

Presiding over sales offices in Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban, Sher will be focusing on expanding sales to numerous African countries. “The strength of TOA South Africa is the team’s combined awareness, motivation, respect for individual roles, team collaboration and support of each other, which is key to our success,” explained Sher.

Yuichiro Honjo also became a director as of 1 April. “Continuous growth into new regions and the expansion of the solid base in South Africa are important cornerstones of the corporate strategy and offer sustainable growth opportunities for us,” affirmed Honjo.

TOA Corporation (UK) leadership

In the UK, Ian Bridgewater has been with the TOA Corporation since 1990. He’s currently responsible for the direction of the UK business together with Daisuke Imagawa and Kosuke Tanaka. Focused on voice alarm and intercom solutions, the UK operation is based in Leatherhead.

The changes at the management level underline the strategic focus of TOA Corporation in the EMEA region when it comes to sustainable growth, customer satisfaction and innovation.

At headquarters in Japan, Takashi Nishino is scheduled to begin his new role as  director of TOA Corporation in the summer, taking over from Yoshinori Masuno who’s retiring. A formal decision on this matter will be taken at the Annual General Meeting to be held in June.

From 1 April, Nishino has served as executive officer and executive manager of the international business division. He has worked for the TOA Corporation since 1995, duly gaining experience in various roles, most recently serving as general manager for the Asia Pacific region’s business.
