Abloy UK showcasing new digital portfolio at The Security Event 2024

ABLOY UK is set to unveil its latest line-up of access control systems at The Security Event 2024. The company will be inviting visitors to the NEC to explore its cutting-edge electromechanical and digital solutions on Stand F50 in Hall 5 from 30 April-2 May.

Abloy will have two operational doors on the stand, one of them being the Escape Door System, which has been designed specifically to ensure individuals can escape safely through electrically controlled escape doors, while in parallel maintaining secure locking in the event of an emergency.

The Escape Door System is comprised of three components designed to meet BS EN 13637 – ‘Blocking’, ‘Control’ and ‘Trigger’ – tested and certified together as a package to ensure both compliance and safety.

eCLIQ, Pulse and Cumulus

The second operational door will focus on solutions designed for multi-residential applications. Products to be featured include eCLIQ, Pulse and Cumulus, with compliant electric locking on both doors.

eCLIQ is ASSA ABLOY’s completely electronic cylinder platform. Providing the benefits of access control combined with all the advantages of a physical key system, eCLIQ ensures security, reliability and ease of use.

The retrofit solution can help control the movement of people and allow access to be easily granted, changed and removed, while also affording a wide range of data for Health and Safety purposes.

Pulse is an intelligent, energy harvesting and future-proof solution that can be installed as a new system or retrofitted in existing sites. Suitable for all kinds of environments – from schools through to assisted living blocks and multi-resident apartments – this wireless access system combines the flexibility of electronic locking with the familiarity of mechanical security. There’s no requirement for batteries or an external power supply.

Cumulus enables mobile access for a wide variety of security products, allowing organisations to upgrade their doors to operate without physical keys. The Bluetooth-connected Cumulus enables most electric locks and other electronic door locking devices to open with a digital key on a mobile app, instead of a physical credential such as a key, card or fob.

Digitalisation escalating

Pip Courcoux, head of transformation at Abloy UK, said: “We are very excited to showcase our digital security solutions and demonstrate the real-world applications of our products.”

Courcoux continued: “Our research has uncovered how access control in the multi-residential market is shifting. We’re now seeing digitalisation gathering pace. Improving security, while at the same time enhancing the end user experience, is a key goal for us. By exhibiting the Escape Door System, eCLIQ, Pulse and Cumulus, we can demonstrate the positive impact and user benefits that these digital solutions provide.”
